I fell in love with this artist, Miwa Yanagi, when I first saw her grandmother series in a museum in Sydney, Australia. Like this one:

Her next series was entitled White Casket, which featured elevator girls. I wrote a few poems in response to these beautiful images and the wonderful editor, Jane Armstrong, at MississippiReview.com accepted one, “Elevator Girl Brand” for their ekphrasis issue.
